On December 12, 2020, indie developer Omocat released their newest video game, OMORI. This update includes some improvements to the game's battle system, as well as a new sub-story. The main changes in this update are to the battle system. In the previous version, when a character used a skill, their emotion would increase by a little bit. Now, the intensity of the emotion is increased for a short time, and the emotion will return to neutral afterwards. To make up for this, the game's turn-based battle system now features skills that effect the entire party, such as ones to heal or increase the party's speed.
